JKS Body Lift

If you are a Jeep owner, chances are that you enjoy taking your Jeep off road.  When driving off road, everybody knows that more clearance means a better off road experience.  What about when you are on the highway though?  Is it truly necessary to sacrifice the quality of your ride on the highway for those times when you are actually able to go off road?  Another thing to think about is this: what kind of lift kit do you want or desire?  There is such an amount of choices and options for lifts that it might actually give you a headache.  These are a few of the things that you need to think about before deciding to jack your ride.

Before you decide to do anything, you should check in to all of the available options to ensure that you make the best and most informed decision that you can.  During that process, you will come across JKS lifts.  These lift kits are not only more able to fit into your budget, but they also offer options that will not affect your ride quality while on the highway.

JKS was formed in 1989 and their first product was the Quick Disconnect.  Since then they have expanded and they have a mission to provide only high quality Jeep products.

JKS Body Lift

The JKS Body Lift is quite innovative as well as economical.  This offers you the added clearance of a lift kit without actually changing the factory suspension.  While gaining an additional 1.25” of clearance for those larger tires that you want, you maintain the steering geometry, center of gravity and spring rate.  You can also add tires up to two sizes larger with this much added clearance.  You also have the added benefit of not having to change anything or make modifications on things like brakes, fuel tank, radiator or air conditioner.

Where to Buy

JKS makes it easy for you to purchase their products.  If you go to their web site, you can click on the link that says ‘Locate a Dealer’ and it will take you to a page where you can search for a local authorized JKS dealer either by zip code or by dealer information.  Alternatively, you can always Google the product you want an be inundated with links to web sites that will be more than happy to provide you with the part that you need.

JKS Disconnects

Since 1989, JKS has been providing quality after-market products for Jeeps.  Their very first product was the Quick Disconnect and this is still one of their top selling parts.  They have a commitment to providing the best Jeep parts and accessories that money can buy.  Not only that, they add to the commitment to provide those parts at affordable prices.

What is a Disconnect?

A disconnect is something that every off road enthusiast should know about.  It basically is a part that enables you to disconnect the sway bar links quickly and easily.  The sway bar enables transference of torsion across the axle when the vehicle makes turns at a high speed.  Since you don’t do this often when off road, you really don’t need this.  What you do need is the added independent suspension control that you get when you use the disconnect.

JKS makes a disconnect that is not only stronger and more versatile; it is also quicker and more easy to use than by disconnecting the sway bar manually.  Once it is installed, you simply need to pull the lynch pin that keeps the male and female parts mated and it will disconnect them allowing you to have more control over each of your wheels.

Where can I buy it?

JKS Disconnects are readily available for you to purchase.  If you do not already know where there is an authorized JKS dealer near you, you can go to the JKS web site.  On the home page there is a link that you can click to locate a dealer.  That link takes you to a page where you can search either by zip code or dealer information.  You can also take your search directly to Google and just type whatever part you are looking for as your search query.  You will receive an untold amount of listings for that part and the dealers from whom you can get it.

Does it have a Warranty?

JKS believes in and stands behind every single part and accessory that is made by them and they back this belief up by offering a warranty on them.  Each warranty is part specific meaning that the warranty offered will differ from part to part.  Warranty information can be found in the packaging material that your part came with.  Make sure that you read and fully understand what is covered and what is not for your safety and peace of mind

JKS Quicker Disconnects

JKS

For close to 25 years JKS has been producing and offering high quality, durable and affordable Jeep parts and accessories.  Their very first part back in 1989 was the Quicker Disconnect and today it is still their most popular part.  All of JKS parts and accessories are manufactured completely in the United States.

Quicker Disconnects

Disconnects are a part of great necessity to any serious off road driver.  This part enables you to disconnect the sway bar from the axle.  The sway bar basically allows transference of torsion from one side of the vehicle to the other when turning sharp corners.  When off road driving, this is not necessary and can actually be detrimental to the quality of your ride.  Everybody knows that when you are off road, you need maximum control of each of your tires. And with JKS Quicker Disconnects, you can achieve this goal.

Once your disconnect is installed all you need to do to get the handling and control that you crave is to pull the lynch pin.  This is much simpler than the way people had to do it before the Quicker Disconnect was invented.  The disconnect itself is in two pieces…a male and a female.  When you connect them and secure the lynch pin, your sway bar is disconnected.  When you pull the lynch pin, your sway bar is connected again.

JKS Suspensions

JKS

JKS has been providing extremely durable and affordable after-market Jeep parts and accessories since its inception in 1989.  They began with their first part: the Quicker Disconnect.  Since then they have expanded and now provide the ever popular Quicker Disconnect, body lifts and lift kits as well as suspensions and track bars along with many other parts.

What is a Suspension?

A suspension system on a vehicle consists of multiple parts.  There are shock absorbers, linkages, springs and a host of others.  The purpose of a suspension system is twofold.  The first is to ensure that the passengers in the vehicle get a relatively smooth ride and the second is to contribute to the braking and handling to ensure a safe ride.  There are also many variations of suspensions.  I mean, all suspensions consist of basically the same parts, but there are variations of the parts themselves.  For example: some use leaf springs and some use coil springs.  You need to do your research and discern exactly what type of suspension is the one that you need for your vehicle.

JKS Suspensions

JKS offers both a coil spring suspension and a leaf spring suspension.  You can get both of these as complete kits or if you only need a replacement part or two, you can get them singly as well.  These are high quality, extremely tough suspensions that will handle excellently on any kind of terrain that you should choose to take them on.  Either one of these suspension kits will be the perfect suspension for your Jeep.

Availability

JKS parts and accessories are available in many ways.  You can get them online by Googling the name of the part you want.  That Google search will give you multiple ways to get the part you need from a plethora of online dealers.  You can also get them locally if you know of a JKS authorized dealer near you.  If you do not know of one, you can go to the JKS web site and use the search tool there to locate one.

Warranty

All of the parts and accessories created by JKS come with part specific warranties.  Check your warranty to be sure what it covers and the limitations it has.  Warranty information should be included in the material that your part was packaged in.  If not, you can call JKS to get a copy of the warranty.

JKS Track Bar

JKS

JKS manufactures some of the best aftermarket Jeeps parts and accessories.  While they are known for the JKS Quicker Disconnect, they make suspensions, lift kits and a host of other parts as well.  They were founded in 1989 when they first started making the Quicker Disconnect and they have grown since then into the world-renowned Jeep parts and accessories company that we know and love today.

Track Bars

For those of you who are not in the know, a track bar is a part of a vehicle’s suspension system.  It is also called a Panhard bar because its origins are the Panhard Company in France.  Its purpose is to provide lateral location of the axle.  What this means in layman’s terms is that it keeps the wheels from moving laterally and to ensure that they only move forward and backward.

JKS Track Bar

A JKS track bar is actually a quite simple part.  It is a simple bar.  This bar runs sideways underneath the car parallel to the axle.  It connects the body to the axle on the opposite side.  The length of the JKS track bar is adjustable.    One of the features is the bushings that are used on this track bar.  They actually make road noise a lot less quiet while they provide the ultimate off road performance.  The bushings are rubber or polyurethane depending on the needs of the driver.  Track bars made by JKS are zinc plated.
