Track Bars
For those of
you who are not in the know, a track bar is a part of a vehicle’s suspension
system. It is also called a Panhard bar
because its origins are the Panhard Company in France. Its purpose is to provide lateral location of
the axle. What this means in layman’s
terms is that it keeps the wheels from moving laterally and to ensure that they
only move forward and backward.
JKS Track Bar
A JKS track
bar is actually a quite simple part. It
is a simple bar. This bar runs sideways
underneath the car parallel to the axle.
It connects the body to the axle on the opposite side. The length of the JKS track bar is
adjustable. One of the features is the
bushings that are used on this track bar.
They actually make road noise a lot less quiet while they provide the
ultimate off road performance. The
bushings are rubber or polyurethane depending on the needs of the driver. Track bars made by JKS are zinc plated.
